Job Description:

The Plant Manager is responsible for all plant operations including safety, quality, materials planning and production, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, human resources and finance.   • Skilled in strategic planning and the creation of strategic objectives and action plans to address short and long-term plant goals.
  • Responsible for developing, tracking and implementing strategic plans.
  • Fosters a strong safety culture which values employee engagement and open communication.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Elyria Manufacturing Plant and provide strong leadership to the plant management team.
  • Strong proponent of lean manufacturing, 5S and visual management.
  • Assures that the plant quality management system is effective, and that customer satisfaction is highly valued.
  • Assure development and execution of sound manufacturing plans that achieve high levels of on-time delivery.
  • Lead the development of initiatives to improve speed and response to changes in demand to sustain high on-time delivery performance.
  • Monitor plant capacity and develop and execute appropriate actions to meet forecasted growth.
  • Drive operational excellence/ Lean Manufacturing strategies to ensure continuous improvement plans are developed and implemented to support organizational goals of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, improved inventory turnover, and cost reduction.
  • Lead development and ownership of annual and monthly financial plans, budgets and operating reports.
  • Lead planning and preparation of capital expenditure requests to assure ongoing operation of facility.
  • Lead systemic approach to workforce planning and succession planning, including identification and development of top talent. Support talent management through effective hiring, training, coaching, and development.
  • Lead in accordance with the organization's established policies, procedures, and practices.Required Education, Experience & Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant leadership, operations management, or relevant manufacturing experience.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be comfortable presenting to executive-level leadership.
    • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive change.Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
