Job Description:
Position Title: Associate I - Assembly - Wheel Chairs
Pay Status: Hourly
Department: Operations
Position Relationships:
Supervised by: Supervisor, Manufacturing
Supervises: N/A
Essential Functions:
* Reads configurators and builds configurated assembly
* Effectively uses computerized Information Center to retrieve
product/process information
* Uses air and hand tools following proper safety procedures
* Visually inspects material during the assembly process to prevent
defects and scrap
* Responsible for quality of assembled product prior to and
including their workstation
* Provides written suggestions for continuous improvement
* Effectively utilizes material replenishment systems within
department
* Assists with training of others
* Fills parts orders as needed
* Strict compliance to FDA and ISO control standards and record
keeping
* Adheres to all safety policies
* Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary
* Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S
principles.
* Complete all required training applicable to assigned
position
* Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to
take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications:
* High School graduate or equivalent
* Basic math skills
* Basic computer skills preferred
* Ability to use air tools and other torque-controlled tools
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
* Bending, twisting and/or squatting may be required
* Must demonstrate the ability to hear 40db at 1000Hz, 2000Hz,
3000Hz, and 4000HZ in both ears either corrected or uncorrected if
the job requires Associate to perform ride testing
* Ability to operate all hand tools (e.g. air guns, drills,
etc.)
* Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in
all areas as needed
* Demonstrated ability to understand and follow work
instructions
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
* Ability to be cross-trained
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection
* Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills
* Must have thorough understanding of quality systems and their
relationship to job performance including ISO Overview,
corrective/preventative actions and work instructions
* Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to
perform the duties pertaining to job
