  • Ensures IT Infrastructure meets business requirements and provides high levels of uptime, reliability, and functionality by performing a full lifecycle of activities including infrastructure design, installation, change management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and decommissioning. -(IT Infrastructure includes, but is not limited to: -enterprise-level systems, virtualization, storage systems, servers, -data networks, communications systems, audio/visual systems, mobile devices, access control systems, PC fleet, mobile devices, printers, copiers, SaaS, cloud-based service providers)
  • Performs day to day administration of IT Infrastructure (including, but not limited to: -permission changes, development, and modification of security groups, server configuration changes, system monitoring, log review, network modifications)
  • Manages IT infrastructure security by routinely researching and applying security patches, managing security appliances, and recommending and implementing changes to our security architecture consistent with the current best practices. -Develops, implements, and trains users on IT security procedures to safeguard the network from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data.
  • Serves as part of the IT help desk and the on-call rotation.
  • Ensures data is protected by managing backup and disaster recovery systems and plans. -This includes but is not limited to configuring and testing the backup and DR solutions, monitoring logs, and troubleshooting.
  • Develops and provides training to users
  • Surveys performance needs and goals of the Ross companies and its associates. -Develops recommendations for infrastructure modifications to meet corporate objectives.
  • Stays up to speed with technology and strives to find ways to improve continually by eliminating manual processes and rework.
  • Monitors activities compared to approved budgets.
  • Researches prospective purchases of IT equipment and software to meet corporate objectives. Submits PO requests, receives shipments, and verifies the accuracy of invoices.
  • -Maintains the inventory of all IT Infrastructure hardware and software. -Ensures no software licensing violations occur, and maintenance agreements stay current. Minimum Qualifications
    • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline. -Equivalent knowledge and experience may be considered.
    • Five plus years' experience performing various aspects of IT administration activities
    • Must be available and on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
    • Must be available to work outside of regular business hours as needed
    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude.
    • Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects.
    • Must have a demonstrated ability to think ahead and balancing short and long-term needs.
    • Must be knowledgeable in current IT Infrastructure trends and technologies. -
    • Must have extensive experience with: VMWare vSphere, Windows Server and Desktop, Apple iOS, Veeam Backup and Replication, Active Directory, Group Policy, Server hardware, DNS, DHCP, Office 365 administration, networking fundamentals, automated software deployment, and system configuration techniques through scripting and RMM systems such as Kaseya VSA, and UPS systems.
    • Experience with the following is preferred: Cisco Call Manager, switch, router, and wireless configuration/programming, Cisco Meraki or other Security Appliances, Cisco Umbrella, mobile device management systems, structured cabling systems, SQL Server Administration, storage area networking, and experience in providing end-user training.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Visio required.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to work between two facilities.
    • Must be able to lift 70 pounds, as well as kneel and crawl in tight spaces to install/maintain equipment
    • The position will work in both an office and a plant environment.
