Paint Development Lead
This is an - individual contributor role that will focus on skill
development, education and training of Inspection Center team
members in our Cosmetic department. This role is not visa
What you'll be doing:
Facilitate on the job and instructor led classroom training, ensure
training areas are maintained to Carvana standard and provide
support to on-site PITT crew team members.
Foster a training environment that is safe and efficient with a
focus on quality.
Partner with Reconditioning Managers to support the day-to-day
activities of the PITT Crew; identify team's strengths and
weaknesses; determine areas of opportunity, and the appropriate
steps to improve.
Provide appropriate peer coaching & development; offer feedback and
demonstrate Cosmetic department best practices as determined by
Partner with Cosmetic Line Leads to ensure the team is effectively
prioritizing and problem solving to consistently meet Carvana
Support Reconditioning Managers in ensuring adherence to Paint
Department procedures and performance standards.
Assist with content development, while ensuring established
industry best practices are implemented and followed.
Partner with key teams to contribute to the development of new
training material and ensure correct facilitation of on-the-job and
Ensure all training materials, consumables, and supplies are
available to support training programs.
Maintain training equipment and spaces in top operating
Identify waste removal and continuous improvement

Travel as needed to Inspection Center locations to establish and
support Cosmetic training program initiatives.
What the job requires:
To be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic
requirements we want to share with you.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Vocational / Technical degree preferred by not required.
2+ years of related experience in automotive body and paint
Demonstrated functional knowledge in one or more areas related to
Carvana's reconditioning processes, procedures, and lean
Demonstrated basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
(5S, Continuous Improvement, Waste Identification and Removal,
Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a
professional, courteous manner. Ability to communicate clearly and
concisely, both written and oral.
Ability to comfortably speak in front of groups as large as 20-30
Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Ability to resolve complex issues.
Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and
related business and communication tools.
Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent
stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in
an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have
fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no more
than two moving violations or DUIs in the last three years.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
