Position Summary:With direct supervision, the Child Care Center Floatprovides a comfortable and safe learning environment for students by filling in for Lead and Assistant Teachers as needed in various classrooms. Flexible hours and benefits include: Childcare at one of our SUTQ Child Enrichment Centers at no cost to the employee/parent, paid time off, 12holidays and Verizon Discount. Available insurance including Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Disability, Accident and Life plus a 403B!
Supervisory Responsibilities:None
Essential Job Functions:
Our Teachers ensure that guidelines are followed in compliance with agency policy and state licensing requirements.
Maintains all Step Up to Quality Documentation and Standards.
Teachers will assist with planning and scheduling activities.
Provides direct service.
Recruits participants and volunteers for program and activities.
Facilitates referrals to resources.
Our Teachers ensure that parents and program are working cooperatively for healthy growth of children.
Plans, prepares and maintains program materials and supplies.
Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding expenditures.
Maintain accurate files and records and provides required reports and statistical data.
Maintains clean, safe and secure Child Care Center, playground and play equipment.
Participates in required annual Child Care and Step Up to Quality training.
Additional Job Functions:
Teachers may transport children to and from school and field trips.
Works together in a team atmosphere.
Other duties as assigned.
