Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of
imaging systems.
This role ensures equipment functionality, regulatory compliance,
and end-user support across healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and document preventive and corrective maintenance on
digital radiography systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare for system installations,
covering electrical, mechanical, gas, pneumatic, software, and
networking integration.
Coordinate or perform system assembly, installation, and
decommissioning.
Ensure system compliance with HIPAA, safety standards, and
performance specifications.
Conduct safety inspections, performance assurance, and equipment
evaluations related to patient or employee incidents.
Maintain accurate records in the centralized maintenance management
system.
Review and validate service performed by third-party vendors;
recommend updates to maintenance procedures or schedules.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using diagnostic tools
and technical documentation.
Support clinical staff through in-service training and
cross-training of new team members.
Stay current with evolving technologies through ongoing
professional development and manufacturer training.
Up to 75/85% travel required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience servicing digital/analog radiology
systems, preferably in healthcare settings.
AAS in Biomedical Equipment, Electronics, or Computer Service
Technology, or equivalent military/technical training.
Must meet hospital credentialing requirements.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook,
and web browsers.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply data
analysis for issue resolution.
Knowledge of clinical outcomes, reimbursement structures, and
managed care procedures is a plus.
