The ACHD Program Physician Director will provide clinical, administrative and strategic leadership for Akron Children's ACDH program by ensuring high – quality, guideline -directed care for adults with congenital heart disease, facilitates seamless transition from pediatric to adult services, and strengthens collaborative care pathways with adult cardiology, cardiac surgery, obstetrics, anesthesia, and other specialties. The role combines direct patient care (inpatient and outpatient), program oversight, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and growth strategy aligned with institutional goals. Key Responsibilities Include: · Clinical Leadership · Program Development & Strategy · Partnership & Care Coordination · Quality & Regulatory Oversight Our team includes 16 pediatric cardiologists, 7 advanced practice providers and 2 cardiothoracic surgeons who provide a complete spectrum of coordinated, compassionate, cardiac care to over 10,000 patients annually. Services include advanced diagnostics, complex surgical procedures, an adult congenital heart disease program, a fetal imaging program and a cardiac MRI program.
