Job Description UK King's Daughters is a 455-bed regional referral center in Ashland, Kentucky. We are part of the University of Kentucky Health system. We own 30 primary care clinics in outlying areas of Kentucky and Ohio which refer patients from a catchment area of about 750,000 people to our main campus for testing and treatment. In 2025, we completed a $150 million construction project on campus, which gave us with a new main entrance, a brand-new ER, and an all-new Imaging Department. Our Emergency Department sees more than 80,000 patients per year. We offer nearly all medical specialties at our facility, except pediatric subspecialties and transplant surgery. We have an opening for an otolaryngologist to join three others in a hospital employed practice. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary guarantee of $600,000 plus productivity bonuses for the first two years, as well as excellent benefits (health, vision, dental, life, retirement). The physician will also receive six weeks of vacation, one additional week for CME, and a $5,000 allowance for CME expenses. A signing bonus of $75,000 and student loan repayment of $75,000 over the three years of the contract are available as well. Ashland, KY is a town with a population of about 25,000 people, located along the Ohio River. We have a clean town with minimal traffic, a beautiful and very active performing arts theater, an indoor tennis center, a large downtown park, and boutique shopping. Our Tri-State region (Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia) is renowned for safe, family-friendly communities with an excellent cost of living. We also have some of the country's finest state parks and other outdoor areas that feature golf, skiing, boating, fishing, hunting and biking. We have four seasons, all of which are relatively mild. We are also a short drive to metro cities in Ohio (Cincinnati and Columbus) and Kentucky (Lexington and Louisville). And we are located about 20 minutes from Huntington, WV, the home of Marshall University. Additionally, about two hours away in West Virginia, there is excellent snow skiing and the New River Gorge National Park, which offers multiple outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting, rock climbing and hiking.
