Job Details - Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus nursing jobs, Ohio healthcare) - Setting: Emergency Department Observation Unit / ED Observation - Assignment Type: Travel Contract (travel nurse opportunity) - Start Date: April 20, 2026 - End Date: July 20, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) - Hours per Week: 36 - Patient Ratio: 1:4 - Unit Size: 32 beds - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940–$2,040 per week Qualifications & Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Room (ER), ED observation/holding, or med-surg/telemetry experience - Active RN license required; compact or Ohio state license must be submitted - Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS - Experience with Epic EMR/charting strongly preferred - Ability to provide two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership) - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Responsibilities – Emergency Department Nursing / ER RN Duties - Deliver patient-centered emergency care across pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in the ED Observation Unit - Monitor and manage telemetry and dysrhythmias; provide PCU/stepdown level care - Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, IV insulin, heparin protocols, and manage blood product administration - Manage acute renal failure, assist with renal protocols, and coordinate renal support care - Perform tracheostomy care and management, wound care, and wound vac therapy - Participate in rapid response teams and emergency interventions; support resuscitation efforts - Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately using Epic EMR - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, case management, and physicians - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives Join our healthcare team in Columbus, OH and advance your emergency nursing career as a travel ER RN.
