ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in a
MICU setting - Experience with patient ratios of 2:1 - Proficiency
with computerized charting in Epic Description: This position is
for a night shift role in an Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will
work with adult and geriatric patients. Common patient diagnoses
include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS,
gastrointestinal bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, and
sepsis. Common treatments for patients include mechanical
ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial
pressure monitoring, and chemotherapy administration. Experience
with hemodynamically compromised patients is essential. The role
involves management of complex medication regimens, clinical
trials, and plasmapheresis. Candidates should have skills in IV
starts and ventilator management. The patient care team includes
interdisciplinary support from various specialists. Flexibility in
scheduling is required to meet department needs. This position
necessitates maintaining a high standard of patient care and
adhering to infection prevention protocols. Requirements Required
