Job Opportunity – Neuro Critical Care Unit Travel Nurse – Ohio Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), day/night rotation, every other weekend, 36 hours per week Highlights: Specialized neuro critical care environment with 1:1-2 patient ratios Diverse patient population including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, and post-operative neurosurgery patients Advanced technology including Epic EHR, invasive neuromonitoring (EVD, ICP monitoring), mechanical ventilation, and EEG monitoring Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams 36-hour orientation period with opportunity for professional growth in a high-acuity neurocritical care setting Bedside procedures including tracheostomy, PEG, central line and arterial line placement, and EVD placement Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required Previous travel experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Epic charting system experience Core skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a specialized neuro critical care environment with a highly complex patient population and cutting-edge technology.
