Job Description Core Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Detroit, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Travel /n$30.00 /nHourly Rate /nMeals & Incidentals /n$1,582.00 /nTotal Allowance per Week /n$2,782.00 /nGross Weekly Pay /n /n /n /nJob Summary: /n /nUnder the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of procedures of an invasive nature to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. /n /nPrincipal Duties And Responsibilities: -Explains examination procedure to patients and prepares patient for the examination. /n-Obtains additional information about the patient's medical history as necessary. /n-Prepares prescribed contrast median, medications, and IV solutions for administration to patients. /n-Reviews clinical data on requisition, analyzes anatomical structure of patient, sets up equipment and, following protocols, and assists Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures. /n-Prepares and sets up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment required for the procedure. /n-Ensures the adequate supplies such as needles, catheters, etc. are on hand and properly stored. /n-Replenishes supplies as appropriate. /n-Is one of the team who actively assesses the patient condition before, during, and following all procedures. /n-Manually controls the equipment to obtain the proper diagnostic information for the area of the body being studied. /n-May assist with the training of new personnel and/or student who are assigned to the division. /n-Performs all imaging procedures by demonstrating the principles of radiation protection: may involve shielding of patients, selection of appropriate equipment settings to reduction dose, using other ALARA techniques, etc. /n-PACS: resolves any/all image exceptions and ensures high quality image delivery into PACS; including viewing of images into PACS, and confirming image/series counts. /n-RIS: completes all study indexing; including study begin, study end, and the completion of the study in the Radiology Information System Reviews and confirms as necessary with Radiologist clinical protocols before preforming study. /n-Demonstrates on a consistent basis Team Member Standards of Excellence including: AIDET, open communication, responding in a timely manner, displaying a positive attitude, fostering innovation, respecting diversity, etc. /n-Performs Quality Assurance procedures as appropriate Performs all documentation in the medical record as necessary, as well as within the radiology information system to support all clinical and billing functions. /n-Performs related functions according to department protocols. /n-Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.0800-1630 Five, 8-hour shifts. Four, 10-hour shift weeks will likely be available at times depending on staffing. /n /nComments /n* 13 week contract * REQUIRED: Minimum 3 years previous experience, Previous experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility, Cath Lab experience, BLS and ARRT certifications.
