Job Description:
Job Description Description The division of pulmonary and
critical care is looking for acute care nurse practitioners and
PA’s who have a desire to work in three exciting areas. There will
be one APP deployed in each area daily. The first is the MICU where
you will provide critical care to acutely ill medicine patients
rounding with an attending and a resident team. The second location
is a six bed medical stepdown run with an attending and an APP. The
third area is the code white/sepsis team where you will respond to
alerts throughout the hospital as a provider with a nursing team
working with you. These alerts are as follows: code white, code
sepsis, code blue, code stroke. /n A Brief Overview /n The Advanced
Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for
patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard
tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified
by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity
specific Medical Bylaws. /n /n What You Will Do /n /n - Initiates

department during orientation. /n - Must abide by all requirements
to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI)
for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH
policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of
PHI in the workplace. /n Qualifications Education /n /n - Master's
Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) /n -
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required) /n /n Work Experience
/n /n - 1 years as an Advanced Practice Provider (Preferred) /n /n
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities /n /n - Demonstrated leadership
skills. (Required proficiency) /n - Demonstrated skills in
interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency) /n - Computer
skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe.
(Required proficiency) /n - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
and Outlook. (Required proficiency) /n /n Licenses and
Certifications /n Physician Assistant: /n /n - Physician Assistant
