Employment TypeFull timeShiftDescription:Subregional Manger of Risk and Safety for two acute care hospitals. This individual will be responsible for oversight of Risk and Safety for the organization and pursuing Zero Harm.Provides operations & / or optimization leadership focus; Directs clinical specialty (patient-facing) department(s) / area(s) or specialty non-clinical (non-patient facing) department(s) / area(s); May provide leadership & direction through managers; Balances between staff leadership, broader organizational direction & administration; Accountable for the performance, regulatory readiness & results of a single large, strategic area / related disciplines or multiple small to medium-sized departments / areas / clinics in a small to medium-sized single functional domain within a limited geography.Minimum Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Michigan RN License
• Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Master's in nursing (MSN), business (MBA), public health (MPA) or health administration (MHA) preferred.Minimum Qualifications
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in healthcare leadership
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in risk management, high reliability organizing, patient and colleague safety and organizational improvement.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety concepts and best practices, risk management, regulatory and compliance requirements, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Preferred: Certified Professional in related specialties: patient safety, risk management, regulatory and compliance, performance improvement
  • Preferred: Project management experience
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge of performance excellence and lean concepts & tools.
