The LCADA Way is currently recruiting for a Director of Medical Care Services. Join our team of dedicated professionals providing Leadership, Compassion, Awareness, Dedication & Advocacy to the communities we serve.Summary:The Director of Medical Care Services is responsible for directing and organizing all aspects of medical care services provided through the Medical Department and Medication Assisted Treatment Program. This position directly provides and coordinates nursing efforts to ensure that effective patient care is provided and quality standards are met. This position works closely with the physician(s) regarding the care and treatment of clients receiving medication.Essential Functions:Delivery and coordination of nursing services including: medication education, administration and monitoring; administration of health assessments, including vital statistics; administration of urine drug screenings; administration of Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) assessments; responding to routine and emergency requests for medical assistance; educate clients and staff about wellness and self-care.Coordination of medical and nursing activities with clinical and residential staff to ensure continuity of client care. Develop and/or assist with developing Treatment Plans especially with coexisting medical problemsCompletion of clinical reviews and clinical staffing, discharge planning and completion of daily progress notes. Delivery of program components as assigned. Completion of all CQI data collection and implementation of all CQI corrective actions as assigned. Monthly participation in the Utilization Review and Peer Review programs. Other duties as assigned.General Requirements:Must demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness. Three or more years of management experience preferred. Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office required. Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required. MSN preferred.Certification Requirements:Must possess a valid Ohio state license as an RN, APN, or higher credential. Active BLS required.Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel.Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Hours may vary, some evenings may be required.Salary Range: Salary commensurate with licensure and experience.Equal Opportunity Employer.
