Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Who We Are We are a small space
technology company, working to design and deliver components for
the next generation of lunar rovers. Collaborating closely with our
sister companies throughout Europe we are leveraging our automotive
and motorsports experience to provide cutting edge electric vehicle
technology to the space sector. Position Overview The Process
Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and
executing manufacturing processes that enable the production of
high-reliability space hardware. This role is highly hands-on,
blending process development, design, prototyping, fabrication and
production support. The ideal candidate thrives in a small-team
environment, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and can bridge
the gap between design, manufacturing, and testing. Key
Responsibilities - Design, develop, document, and improve
fabrication processes for aerospace components (e.g., machining,
welding, additive manufacturing, composites, thin films, precision
assembly). - Work closely with design engineers to ensure
manufacturability and scalability of components. - Establish
process controls, quality checks, and acceptance criteria for
flight hardware. - Perform hands-on fabrication and assembly of
prototype and production hardware. - Develop and maintain work
instructions, travelers, and process documentation. - Troubleshoot
and resolve process and fabrication issues in real time. -
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to qualify materials,
tooling, and fabrication methods. - Contribute to
design-for-manufacturing reviews and support rapid prototyping
cycles. - Support environmental and functional testing of
fabricated components. - Ensure compliance with industry standards
and internal quality requirements (e.g., NASA/ESA standards,
AS9100, ISO). Qualifications Required - Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing
Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 4 years of experience in process engineering, fabrication, or
manufacturing (aerospace, medical, or other high-reliability
industry preferred). - Familiarity with process documentation, work
instructions, and quality management systems. - Experience with
CAD/CAM tools and GD&T. - Excellent problem-solving,
troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. - Ability to
thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment and adapt to
shifting priorities. Preferred - Experience in aerospace or space
hardware fabrication (e.g., vacuum-rated assemblies, propulsion
systems, lightweight structures). - Knowledge of additive
manufacturing (metal or polymer) and post-processing methods. -
Familiarity with cleanroom practices, contamination control, and
aerospace material standards. - Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or
NASA/ESA process standards. - Prior experience working in a startup
or small company environment. What We Offer - Opportunity to
directly impact the development of spaceflight hardware. - Hands-on
involvement in the full product lifecycle: design, build, test, and
launch. - Small, dynamic team with high visibility and autonomy. -
Competitive compensation and benefits package. - Career development
and training opportunities. - A collaborative environment where
your contributions shape the future of space technology.
