strong candidate who can design, develop, analyze, and standardize
new and existing products and processes, with specific focus on
medical devices and complex instruments.Shift: Full Time, M-F,
8:30am-5:00pm*Must be willing to relocate to MI*WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Participates in, and at times, leads projects involving the
design, fabrication, validation, and manufacture of medical devices
and other healthcare-related instruments, including subassemblies,
systems, or processes.
- Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches required
to meet design and production requirements for new, modified, or
enhanced instruments.
- Provide technical support to other Healthmark functional areas,
including Business Development, Quality, R&D, and
Manufacturing.
- Compiles and evaluates design and test data, prepares technical
specifications, and determines appropriate limits and variables for
product/material specifications.
- In-step with Quality, Design Engineer analyzes product
requirements and other technical specifications to determine if
product is performing to requirements; this includes performing
risk analysis activities.
- Achieve best practices that meet medical device industry
standard, including design control and documentation.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness
of the Healthmark QMS.SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Scientific or Engineering
Field, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and oral and written
communication skills
- 2+ years in medical or automotive design and/or systems
engineering, experience with risk management/FMEA a benefit.
- Familiar with regulatory requirements for the medical device
industry, particularly working experience in design control.
- Capable of effectively interfacing with cross-functional team
members in achieving common goals.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple
projects at once.
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Hot or cold environment depending on weather/time of year.
- Ability to travel as needed
- Medical Device industry experience is preferred.EQUIPMENT USED:
