Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. An immediate opening is available for a Special
Education Teacher focused on elementary education within a
self-contained adaptive classroom. This contract position runs from
February 23, 2026, through May 20, 2026, with a 37.5-hour workweek.
The role is onsite in Jefferson, GA, serving a school environment
with students who present challenging behavioral needs. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to
students with diverse learning and behavioral challenges. Implement
behavior management strategies and maintain a positive classroom
environment. Complete required restraint training and apply
restraint techniques when necessary to ensure safety. Collaborate
with educational staff and support personnel to meet students
individualized education plan (IEP) goals. Monitor and document
student progress, providing feedback to parents and administration.
Qualifications: Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission
(GaPSC) license in Special Education. Experience working in
behavior settings, particularly with students demonstrating
challenging behaviors. Ability and willingness to perform student
restraints following proper training. Strong communication and
classroom management skills, suitable for an elementary adaptive
classroom. Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive
educational environment. Location: Onsite position in Jefferson,
