Job Description Job Description As a Lifeguard & Swim
Instructor, you will be responsible for the safety of our members
in the pool area. This position will assist in the teaching of swim
lessons and help to keep our pool clean and accessible.
Responsibilities Patrol and monitor the pool by actively scanning
the water and watching members to ensure their wellbeing while
swimming. Rescue distressed persons, using rescue techniques and
equipment. Maintain quality of pool water by testing chemical
levels such as pH and chlorine. Examine injured persons and
administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if
necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment.
Instruct swim lessons through interactive means (optional, WSI
certification required to teach swim lessons). Qualifications Able
to swim, tread water, instruct classes and perform rescue
procedures if necessary. Swim lessons experience (e.g. Red Cross)
Valid CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications. Water Safety
Instructor preferred. Must be 18 years old Available to work a
schedule of Saturday and Sunday 7am-5pm, potential to pick up more
hours on weekdays 4pm-9pm Benefits Daily meals Access to club
amenities Free parking Salary and Schedule $15/hr as Lifeguard;
$20/hr as Instructor (must work at least one lifeguard shift) FSLA
Status: Non-Exempt Shift Schedule: Sat & Sun 7AM-5PM (plus optional
Mon-Fri 4PM-9PM) Background The Athletic Club of Columbus (ACC), is
