Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Graduate Civil
Engineer will be working on planning, evaluation, design and
implementation of civil engineering projects. The successful
candidate will learn the study-phase and/or design-phase of
projects related to the civil, environmental, construction and
industrial ?elds. The Graduate Civil Engineer would learn through
having interaction with employees outside of their department,
rarely have interaction with clients, and rarely interact with the
public (agencies, government entities, etc.). The Graduate Civil
Engineer is expected to project a professional presence,
representing the Company and the department in a positive light,
and have beginner level of software knowledge of at least one (1)
engineering software package. This role is not required to have a
Professional Engineering license. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides updates to project stakeholders and managerial sta?
regarding engineering requirements for construction of various
designs, and modi?cations. Uses design software and drawing tools
to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and designs
other necessary improvement related to type of project assigned.
Follows design speci?cations by computing appropriate engineering
requirements. Plans projects based on the analysis of relevant
materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey
reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data. Performs
calculations and drafts to presents technical reports on topics
related to projects. Ensures design speci?cations and standards are
met. Strong desire to learn, ask questions, and maximize knowledge
in the ?eld of Civil Engineering Willing to do what is required for
the successful completion project Participate in appropriate
meetings, association memberships, and events to establish,
develop, and grow networking contacts. Performs other related
duties as assigned. Qualifications, Education and Experience: Civil
Engineering Degree (or related) EIT or working toward EIT,
preferred Develop baseline knowledge of state and local regulations
Required Skills and Abilities: Basic understanding of civil
engineering principles, practices, and tools. Pro?cient in
computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording,
and analyzation software. Basic understanding of materials,
methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of site
and transportation infrastructure improvements. Detail-oriented and
accurate. Verbal and written communication skills. Physical
Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a
computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be
able to travel to various project sites. Must be able to access and
navigate job sites and construction areas. Personal Qualities we
