A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the upcoming semester, serving elementary students in an Ohio school district. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, to May 22, 2026, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners with multiple disabilities. Responsibilities: - Deliver tailored instructional support to a caseload of 8 elementary students, primarily Kindergarten, with varying grade levels and diverse learning needs - Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet students unique goals and foster academic growth - Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment - Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and school personnel - Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior interventions and supports Qualifications: - Active Ohio Intervention Specialist license is required - Prior special education teaching experience preferred, especially with elementary students having multiple disabilities - Strong understanding of best practices in special education and ability to adapt instruction to individual needs - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Commitment to being onsite and engaging directly with students, staff, and families Location & Schedule: - Position based in Pickerington, OH - Full-time hours aligning with the school calendar for the semester This role offers valuable hands-on experience in a supportive educational setting, working closely with young children requiring specialized instruction.
