Job Description:
Job Title: Construction Estimator Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-time Overview: We are seeking a
detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our
client's team here in Columbus. This individual will be responsible
for analyzing project plans, evaluating labor and material costs,
and preparing accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial,
or industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have
strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction
processes, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Review
project specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to
prepare accurate cost estimates. Perform quantity take-offs and
cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment. Solicit and
evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Develop and
maintain estimating databases and tools. Prepare and present
detailed cost proposals to project stakeholders. Collaborate with
project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure alignment
with project goals. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities
and risk factors. Monitor and update estimates based on changes in
scope or market conditions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in
Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
3 years of experience in construction estimating. Proficiency with
estimating software (e.g., AGTEK , B2W, Bluebeam, ProEst,
PlanSwift, or similar). Strong understanding of construction
methods, materials, and building codes. Excellent organizational
and time management skills. Strong analytical and mathematical
skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Preferred
Experience: Estimating experience in [specify: residential,
commercial, industrial, or specialty construction]. Familiarity
with scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
