This role is responsible for the tax planning and compliance for
all OPmobility U.S. affiliates. The role will be responsible for
U.S. tax planning, income tax audits, and the timely completion of
federal and state tax income tax returns with the support of
outside advisors. RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage the federal and state
compliance activities for all U.S. affiliates. • Coordinate and
collaborate with global tax team on tax strategies and policies
that support the business. • Lead or support U.S. tax planning
projects and audits. ACTIVITIES Tax • Review or prepare support
files used for consolidation and filing of tax returns • Manage
R&D tax credit process • Lead state and federal tax incentive
projects. • USA federal and multi-state tax compliance,
optimization • Review federal and state tax projections and
quarterly payments. • Propose strategic tax planning opportunities
in all areas of federal and state taxes • Work with Group Tax Team
to monitor developments in tax legislation and communicate the
effects of these developments to management • Keep track of
industry trends and changes related to taxes • Manage Transfer
Pricing Policies and Documentation for compliance • Support and
facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating
schedules, etc. • Lead or support tax audits and special tax
related projects • Provide technical guidance and expertise to
Business Groups for sales/use, property, and value-added tax
compliance • Streamline and implement opportunities for process
improvement in company tax procedures PROFILE REQUIRED Personal
Background • Experience with preparing financial statements,
working with external auditors or advisors, and year-end financial
audits • Strong tax research skills and ability to effectively
communicate complicated tax concepts to senior management •
Experience with leading tax planning projects and tax audits •
Experience with tax credits (research, capital investment,
employment) • Knowledge and understanding of current U.S. tax
events (federal and state) • General knowledge of state taxation
and apportionment methodologies • General knowledge of different
types of legal entity classifications and tax ramifications •
Knowledge of activities that may create tax exposure / nexus (state
and international Sales and use tax experience and general
knowledge of exemptions) Skills and Abilities • Bachelor’s Degree
in Accounting with strong tax experience, CPA preferred • 5-8
years’ corporate tax compliance and planning experience •
Manufacturing environment required, Automotive experience a plus •
US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards • Self-starter, flexible and
has a high level of integrity • Action and goal-oriented in a
fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently and in a
team environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) • Knowledge of SAP a plus • Ability to maintain working
relationships with internal and external customers • Ability to
collect, maintain and analyze data • Must be able to manage time
and determine priorities • Professional verbal and written
